What is SDI?

SDI (Sistema di Interscambio) is Italy’s electronic invoicing system. Hyperline generates invoices in the FatturaPA format and transmits eligible invoices through SDI.

Setup

Open Settings > Invoicing and select your Italian invoicing entity. Enable automatic e-invoicing transmission through SDI Italy, then save your changes. See Activate e-invoicing for the general setup steps.

Customer routing

For company customers, the tax ID identifies the company but not where to deliver the e-invoice. Enter one of the following in SDI code or PEC address:
  • The SDI recipient code supplied by the customer, containing 6 or 7 uppercase letters or digits.
  • The customer’s certified email address (PEC).
Hyperline recognizes the format and uses the corresponding delivery channel. You do not need to enter both values or select a routing type. Hyperline does not use the customer’s billing email as a PEC address automatically.

Set the delivery address

  1. Open the company customer’s details page.
  2. Click Edit in the Information section.
  3. Enter the customer’s SDI recipient code or certified email address in SDI code or PEC address.
  4. Save the customer.

Routing status

When SDI is enabled on the invoicing entity, the customer details page displays a status next to the saved value:
These checks validate the format only. They do not confirm SDI registration, PEC certification, or successful delivery. Ask your customer to confirm the delivery details.
A missing or invalid value prevents automatic SDI transmission for company customers. These routing checks do not apply to individual customers.

Check invoice transmission

Check the e-invoicing transmission status on the invoice details page. A customer routing status confirms the format of the saved delivery address. It does not confirm that the invoice reached the customer. For transmission failures, check the error shown on the invoice and confirm the customer’s delivery details before retrying. See Troubleshoot accounting and e-invoicing sync errors. See the e-invoicing overview for customer email notifications and exporting invoice files.
