Granola is an AI notepad that sits in your meetings and turns them into notes, summaries, and transcripts. Connecting Granola lets Hyperline attach your customer meetings to the matching Hyperline customers, so the customer monitoring agent can combine what was said on a call with contract, subscription, invoice, payment, and usage data.
Granola is part of Customer intelligence, a paid add-on. Contact the Hyperline team through the in-app chat to enable it.
Granola is user-scoped: each teammate connects their own Granola API key from Profile > Integrations, not from the workspace-level Settings > Integrations page. Hyperline only sees the notes of the users who connected.

Prerequisites

  • A Granola account with meeting notes.
  • A Granola API key, created from your Granola settings.
You connect Granola for yourself, so no admin rights on your Hyperline account are needed.

Connect Granola

1

In Granola, create an API key

2

In Hyperline, open Profile > Integrations

3

Click Connect on Granola

4

Paste your Granola API key and confirm

Hyperline validates the key immediately and rejects it if it is invalid or revoked.
5

That's it!

The connection appears as active for your user, and Hyperline starts matching your Granola notes to Hyperline customers.
The connection is read-only. Hyperline never creates, edits, or deletes anything in Granola.

What Hyperline fetches

For every matched note, Hyperline stores: Hyperline does not download the audio files. Only the details, summary, and transcript listed above are stored.
A note taken outside a calendar event has no start, end, or duration to read, so Hyperline records the meeting without them. Granola also does not report which platform hosted the call, so no meeting source is stored.

Which notes are matched

A note is attached to a customer when at least one of its participants corresponds to:
  • the customer Domain, meaning any participant using an email address on that domain
  • the customer Billing email
  • one of the customer Invoice emails
  • a contact email synced from a connected CRM
Notes that cannot be matched to a customer are not stored.
Keep customer Domain and Billing email values up to date. They are the main signals used to attach a Granola note to the right customer.

Synchronization

Hyperline synchronizes Granola in three ways:
  • Initial synchronization: right after you connect your key.
  • Daily synchronization: once a day, for every user who connected a Granola key.
  • On-demand synchronization: a refresh is also triggered when the customer monitoring agent analyzes a customer.
Synchronization is incremental. Notes already stored are not fetched again, and a transcript already downloaded is never downloaded twice.
Each run scans a bounded number of recent notes and stays within Granola’s rate limits, so a Granola account with a large history is backfilled progressively over successive runs rather than in a single pass.

Where Granola data appears

  • Customer page: the Integrations section shows a Granola row with the most recent meeting when you connected your own key. Open it to browse synced meetings with their participants, summary, and transcript.
  • Monitoring agent: Granola has no toggle in the agent’s Connectors tab, because it is connected per user rather than for the workspace. Its meetings reach the agent as soon as a teammate has connected their key. See Customer monitoring agent.
  • Analysis results: Granola appears under Data sources when call context was used.

Manage the connection

Open Profile > Integrations to review or remove your own connection. Disconnecting stops Hyperline from reading your notes. Revoke the API key in Granola as well if you want to invalidate it entirely. Each teammate manages their own connection, so removing yours does not affect anyone else’s.
