Grain is a meeting recorder that captures, transcribes, and summarizes customer calls. Connecting Grain lets Hyperline attach your recorded customer calls to the matching Hyperline customers, so the customer monitoring agent can combine what was said on a call with contract, subscription, invoice, payment, and usage data.
Grain is part of Customer intelligence, a paid add-on. The Grain card only appears in Settings > Integrations when Customer intelligence is enabled for your account. Contact the Hyperline team through the in-app chat to enable it.

Prerequisites

  • A valid Grain account with recordings in your workspace.
  • A Grain workspace access token, created from your Grain settings.
  • Admin rights on your Hyperline account.
The token must be a workspace token rather than a personal one. Hyperline attributes recordings to customers across the whole workspace, so a token scoped to a single user would only ever surface that user’s calls.

Connect Grain

1

In Grain, create a workspace access token

2

In Hyperline, navigate to the Settings > Integrations page

3

Search for Grain and click Connect

4

Paste your Grain access token and confirm

Hyperline validates the token immediately and rejects it if it is invalid or revoked.
5

That's it!

The integration appears as connected and Hyperline starts matching Grain recordings to Hyperline customers.
The connection is read-only. Hyperline never creates, edits, or deletes anything in Grain.

What Hyperline fetches

For every matched recording, Hyperline stores: Hyperline does not download the video or audio files. Only the details and transcript listed above are stored.

Summaries

Grain does not provide a written summary through its API. When a transcript is available, Hyperline generates the meeting summary itself from that transcript.

Which recordings are matched

Grain cannot filter recordings by participant, so Hyperline scans the workspace and matches locally. A recording is attached to a customer when at least one participant email corresponds to:
  • the customer Domain, meaning any participant using an email address on that domain
  • the customer Billing email
  • one of the customer Invoice emails
  • a contact email synced from a connected CRM
Recordings that cannot be matched to a customer are not stored.
Keep customer Domain and Billing email values up to date. They are the main signals used to attach a Grain recording to the right customer.

Synchronization

Hyperline synchronizes Grain in two ways:
  • Daily workspace synchronization: once a day, Hyperline scans recent recordings and attaches the new ones to the matching customers.
  • On-demand customer synchronization: a refresh is also triggered when the customer monitoring agent analyzes a customer, and when you click Sync meetings from the customer’s Grain panel.
Synchronization is incremental. Recordings already stored are not fetched again, and a transcript already downloaded is never downloaded twice.
Each run processes a bounded number of recordings and transcripts, so a Grain workspace with a large history is backfilled progressively over successive runs rather than in a single pass.

Where Grain data appears

  • Customer page: the Integrations section shows a Grain row with the most recent meeting. Open it to browse synced meetings with their participants, summary, and transcript, or to trigger Sync meetings.
  • Monitoring agent: enable Grain from the agent’s Connectors tab. See Customer monitoring agent.
  • Analysis results: Grain appears under Data sources when call context was used.

Manage the integration

Open Settings > Integrations and select Grain. Synchronization errors, such as a revoked token, are reported on this page. Use Disconnect to stop synchronizing new recordings. Revoke the access token in Grain as well if you want to invalidate it entirely.
